English translation of the announcement: OPA group (Obsessive Possessive Aggression) announces that they will not have an artwork for the exhibition “Authorial through the Appearance 4” due to a lack of an idea.

The work Announcement refers to the group participatory project Authorial through the Appearance (Авторски низ појавното) held since 2004 on several places in Macedonia. The project is a gathering of artists, theoreticians and other cultural workers for several days in nature with purpose of sharing the place and time, and encouragement of a debate and discussion. The outcome of the project is a documentation of the happening (the happening considered as an artwork by itself), behind the other possible outcomes as individual artworks exhibited in an exhibition the following year of the event. With the work Announcement, OPA (offering with it a personal opinion and their part of shaping the project) aims to stress the importance of the participatory function of Authorial through the Appearance and the importance of the discussion, the immateriality and the exact point of time as non-transferable, while creating a work that is as nonmaterial as possible. The statement was simultaneously announced in the daily newspaper Nova Makedonija [No.22323; 6.7.2011], on OPA’s web page, on OPA’s Facebook profile, on Authorial through the Appearance web page, and exhibited on the exhibition Authorial through the Appearance 4 as a plain text on simple sheet of paper.
