„Јас не зборува. Јас дејствува“ (Фридрих Ниче, „Така зборуваше Заратустра“)

Books discarded. A sad scene for the city. With the generous help of a few of my close friends, we conducted a small action to rescue them.

But the question remains – what then? The book is not here to rot in the warehouse, but its treasures need to switch hand to hand, to be shared, the word to be scattered as seed in the fields… Following the idea of ​​the initiative KOOPERACIJA, we now have the opportunity to offer all interested and curious one really original way to enrich their personal library, participating in the creation of a sculptural work. The combination of an art installation and the free distribution of books by the participation of the audience as a living and fluctuating matter is a unique and exciting act of bridging the gap between Word and Deed.

I would like to take this opportunity, dedicating this noble action to my friend Martin Stoimenov, in whose home we create this exhibition, and who died on 05.06.2010 year. To understand his life and the context in which he lived, I recommend the short novel by G. G. Marquez, “Chronicle of a death foretold”. Martin will always be remembered as a good friend, a lucid entertainer and an inexhaustible source of carefree, positive energy.

I am especially grateful to all those who helped in the realization of this action – some, as members of the OZT Fabrika, and others as our dear friends: Jordan Milev, Dejan Jefremov Kristian Stoimenov, Despina Kostadinova and Daniel Bogdanov.
