2012, video (loop)

The term “devolution” has several meanings. This work focuses on one of them: the process of declining from a higher to a lower level of effective power or vitality or essential quality.

Devolution in Loop was created in the context of the group exhibition 800 Revolutions per Minute held in a laundry and organized by Kooperacija Initiative. It was played on a small screen – part of the laundry payment system, while the footage had been taken from the outside view of the student residence’s staircase – a building neighboring the exhibition place.
